Hadith about Talbina for sadness and depression
The Prophet ﷺ recommended talbina as a remedy for sadness and grief.
The Hadith Narrated by Aisha (RA):
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Talbina soothes the heart of the sick person and takes away some of the grief.’"
(Sahih al-Bukhari, 5417; Muslim, 2216).
Ingrediants
3 tbs of barley flour
2 cups of full milk
1 tbs of honey
garnish
3-4 pitted dates
black seed
teaspoon of honey
Recipe
Put a small pot on the stove on low heat. Add the barley to the milk and stir well with a whisk. Then, add it to the heat. Add the tbs of honey and keep whisking the mixture until it thickens and is about to boil, which takes about 10-15 mins. Once that’s done, immediately pour it onto a plate of your choosing, and while it is cooling, cut the dates into small pieces, drizzle the honey on top, and then add the black seed and dates. Enjoy it cold or warm.
